The Paint Creek Center for the Arts announced it has canceled the 2020 Art & Apples Festival, which was previously scheduled for Sept. 11-13 at Rochester Municipal Park, due to coronavirus concerns.

“We are sad to announce the cancellation of this year’s Art & Apples Festival,” Elizabeth Chilton, Paint Creek Center for the Arts executive director, said in a press release. “Although we held onto the hope that we would be able to hold this year’s festival, we do not foresee a safe way to welcome thousands of festival-goers while keeping our guests, artists, and community safe.”

Paint Creek Center for the Arts will issue refunds to artists, vendors and booth sponsors who had paid to participate. The festival is expected to return next year, Sept. 10-12, 2021.
